Another Day, Another Bra - This Time in NEON

I'm positively bored of making bras in white only. But you wouldn't believe how complicated it is to source colour-coordinated fabric, elastics and findings to make a complete bra. The pre-packed bra packs sold by some online retailers simply won't do for the types of bras I'm making, as I prefer wider straps and elastics and different materials as normally sorted into these kits.

That's why I'm having a hard time sourcing anything but black and white. Who would have known this about bra making. However, to spruce things up, I stuck to my regular white elastic and findings, bra liner and power net but added some pizazz with neon pink lace.

I added some faggoting tape (yep, that's what it's called) to my cup seams
to make it even more true to its original.

The lace was only cheap poly lace. The kind you get in any fabric shop. It's not any kind of special lingerie lace. It has no stretch, that's why I could only overlay the pieces that had and needed no stretch. The rest had to stay in its usual white.

The pattern is a copy of one my favourite bras. It turned out alright and is wearable but needs some more fine-tuning next time. And there will be a next time, whenever I can get my hands on some strong, heavy-weight power net. I have run out of this stuff and can not find a suitable supplier at the moment. It's easy to get power net, but it's not easy to get really strong power net, which is the sort I am coveting.

If any of you have any idea of sources for power net or similarly strong and stretch  fabrics also used in girdles and shape wear, please let me know. Thank you!

Happy Valentine's Day!
