Guys, I'm so lazy and always behind
when it comes to participating in online community events and
challenges. I think they are a great idea and would love to
participate in almost all of them but, sadly, time does not permit me
to do so.
I have, however, decided to make a
special effort to contribute to this week's Sew Grateful Week run by
Debi over at My Happy Sewing Place. I like the community spirit
behind this online event and although I have never met Debi in
person, I feel as though I know her from, well, soon five years of
reading her blog. (We started blogging the very same month!).
So, first up for today is a giveaway! I have decided to offer up three goodies to one lucky
winner.
First off, this Vintage Simplicity
Pattern. I love the collar on this dress, but it is just way too
small for me and I'm never going to grade it up. The pattern has seen
better times, as the back facing is missing (easily redraftable) and
the sleeve piece is a bit ripped, but it is still good to use. The size is Bust 35 inches.
Next, I'm giving away a copy of the
August 2012 issue of the Norwegian Sy magazine (which is pronounced "syu" (kind of) and means "sew" in English). This magazine is
similar to Burda and comes with patterns included. Sure, they are
Norwegian, but if you have a little experience in working with
patterns, you really don't need a translation for these patterns.
And last, but not least, I'm throwing
in this adorable, but somewhat strange, badge I have in my
collection, hoping that one of you knows a sailor and can sew it onto
their gear. Being from a landlocked country myself, I, unfortunately,
don't know any sailors at all. Ahoy!
If you would like to win all of the
above, please leave a comment with your e-mail address by the end of Sew Grateful Week on Sunday, 2nd of March. I'll send anywhere in the world.
Good luck and go forth and be grateful!
