I made a new crochet cardi! This was an amazingly quick and easy project. I found the pattern on ravelry. It's called "Pillow Talk Bed Jacket" by Crochet Kitten, but I'm certainly not using this as a bed jacket. It's coming outside with me. You can also find the pattern on their website directly, if you are not a ravelry member.
Normally, crochet cardigans can be very dense and heavy due to the nature of crochet stitches, like my Red Emma. But this cardigan is very light and airy, because the bulk of the cardigan is made with single stitches into the back loop of each stitch only. This creates a ribbed effect that somewhat mimics knit stitches.
Look! I'm wearing my Colette Ceylon with my new cardi! |
On a different note, don't forget to enter the Named pattern giveaway. It's open until Monday next week. Good luck!
