Hello, Vernal Equinox Enthusiasts!

ModCloth sure has some pretty clothes on their site, but what I seem to be even more entertained by is the funny names and descriptions they come up with for their clothes. This is the "Hello, Dahlia!" Top and its description is one of the most hilarious and elaborate pieces of copy I have read in a long time. Much better even than labels on the back of wine bottles.

Hear what the people over at Modcloth have to say about this top and enjoy:

"This top is one that you'll enthusiastically welcome into your spring wardrobe! Greet the sunshine, warmer temperatures, and effervescent flora by wearing this flowing, sleeveless, pink top that features a cream, blue, and mint floral print, and you'll feel as buoyant in the dewy breeze as a butterfly foraging for nectar. Its rounded collar ends in streamers of fabric that tie into a flirty bow at the neck, which will attract the attention of other vernal equinox enthusiasts. Find one that you fancy, and frolic together through a meadow wearing this top with skinny jeans and flats. It'll feel so nice to be back where you belong!"

Yes, I sure do want to feel as buoyant in the dewy breeze as a butterfly foraging for nectar, because this is one cute top and a great sewing inspiration.

What about you? Feel like frolicing through a meadow in the effervescent flora? I somehow can't stop wondering about the copywriter. What did he or she do before writing this piece? Skip to work in the sunrise, hand in hand with a loved one, while sharing a heart-shaped ice cream cone with a cherry on top? Hmmm...

  1. They give a lot of promises... and I somehow love the way they write about this top. I'd feel more effervesce with joy if I'd made the top myself, though...
